| Miner Woolley - $20.00 | It is ordered by the Court that Miner Woolley be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasurer for the sum of twenty dollars for conveying W. L. Ramey, a lunatic, to the asylum. |
| H. J. Callen - $138.40 | It is ordered by the Court that H. J. Callen, Judge of Probate, be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasurer for the sum of one hundred and thirty-eight & 40/100 dollars as ex-officio service for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters 1879. |

| Bridge across Oakmulgee Creek | It is ordered by the Court that A. B. Oden, J. M. Cook and Felix Barnes be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to draft a plan for a bridge across Oakmulgee Creek and to let the same to the lowest bidder after giving notice, but no bid shall be received by said Committee that exceeds the sum of one dollar per running foot for said bridge. |
| Jamison & Mims x Road - report set aside | It is ordered by the Court that the report of the jury of review to mark out and view a public road leading from Mims X Road to Jamison be and the same is hereby set aside and held for naught, and that said jury be, and they are hereby, discharged. And the following named persons be and they are hereby appointed a jury of review to view and mark out said road, viz: Epps [Simpson], Nepy Benson, Manson [Glasscock], William [illegible], J. M. Howard, [Honeycutt], J. H. Hughes and J. D. Allen, and report their action [entry continues]. |

| Continuation - Jamison & Mims x Road | [Continuation:] in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| Pyron & Verbena Road - damages and change | Whereas it has been made known to the Court by the report of the jury appointed at a former term of this Court to assess damages resulting from the establishment of said road to W. W. Mardis that damages will accrue thereby, and having made their report in writing in the following words and figures, to-wit: We the jury appointed by your Court did meet and after being sworn proceeded to discharge our duty. Our verdict was $1500.00, fifteen hundred dollars damages to W. W. Mardis. We should recommend that a good road can be had by changing it a little west of the mill, 200 yards turning off to the left and running the ridge around the mill and back into the original survey. It is therefore ordered by the Court that the damages so assessed by the jury be and the same is hereby disallowed, and said road be, and the same is hereby discontinued over the original survey; and the same be and is hereby changed in the manner suggested by said jury, by turning off to the left 200 hundred yards west of the mill of W. W. Mardis and running the ridge around said mill and into the original survey. |
| T. O. Suttle - overseer | It is further ordered by the Court that T. O. Suttle be and he is hereby appointed overseer on said road to keep the same in repair until the next regular appointment of overseers for said Court. |
| J. M. Cordrie resignation; W. C. Easterling appointed | It is ordered by the Court that the resignation of J. M. Cordrie as apportioner of Beat No. 5 be and the same is hereby accepted. It is further ordered that W. C. Easterling be and he is hereby appointed apportioner of Beat No. five, to fill the unexpired term of James M. Cordrie. |

| Beat No. 5 apportioners | It is ordered by the Court that J. W. Gullahorn and J. B. Johnson Jr. be and they are hereby appointed apportioners of Beat No. five, caused by the vacancy caused by the death of F. P. Marsh and the removal of M Degarnett. |
| County divided into Commissioners districts | It is ordered by the Court that the following shall compose the Commissioners districts of the County of Chilton: District No. one shall be composed of Beat No. one and that part of Beat No. four that originally composed Beat No. four before Beat No. six was attached and attached to Beat No. four. District No. two shall be composed of Beats No. two and three. District No. three shall be composed of Beats No. seven and eight. District No. four shall be composed of Beat No. five and Beat No. six as it originally stood before the same was added to Beat No. four. |
| Discontinue public road | It is ordered by the Court that the public road from the Nelson old place intersecting the roads at Singleton Posey known as the Island road, be and the same is hereby discontinued as a public road from the [Helson] place to Singleton Poseys. It is further ordered that the same remain as a private road. |
| Establish public road | Whereas application in writing has been made to the Court for an order to establish a public road leading from Smythes [Pryrs] and to intersect the High Ferry road leading to Verbena in said County; and it appearing to the Court that notice has been given as required by law of the intended application, it is therefore ordered by the Court that the following named persons be and they are hereby appointed a jury of review to view and mark out said road, viz: Thomas Traywick, M. D. Finison, John Stokes, F. A. Gulledge, S. Dayer, Andrew Howard [entry continues on next page]. |

| Continuation - public road | [Continuation:] William Howard, and report their action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| Application to change the Maplesville and County Road | Whereas application in writing has been made to the Court to change the Maplesville and County Road from the fork of the hill above Andrew Henrys farm on said road to the fork of the hill below said farm about one quarter of a mile in length; and it appearing to the Court that legal notice of said application has in all respects been given, and that the following named persons be, and they are hereby appointed a jury of review to view and mark out such proposed change, viz: Monroe Dennis, John Milsford, Robert McFord, Art Ward, John Coph, Tate [Gulley], and John Coph, and will report their action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| Application to change the Montgomery and Tuscaloosa Road | Whereas application in writing has been made to the Court to change the Montgomery and Tuscaloosa Road in the following manner: To commence at the east bank of the west prong of Swift Creek, to again intersect said road at or near Henry Morgans residence. And it appearing to the Court that legal notice of said application has in all respects been given, it is therefore ordered by the Court that the following named persons be and they are hereby appointed a jury of review to view and mark out said proposed change, viz: J. | H. R. Atchison - County Surveyor | Whereas H. R. Atchison has presented his petition to the Court in writing praying to be appointed County Surveyor, and whereas at the last session of the General Assembly of Alabama an act was passed to amend Sections 862, 863 and 864, authorizing the Court of County Commissioners to appoint two surveyors for their respective counties; and whereas the said H. R. Atchison has produced satisfactory evidence of his qualifications to discharge the duties of said office, it is therefore ordered by the Court that the said H. R. Atchison be and he is hereby appointed County Surveyor upon his entering into bond in amount prescribed by law. |
