| Bridge across Goose Pond | It is ordered by the Court that K. Wells be and he is hereby authorized to let a bridge to be built across Goose Pond on the road leading from [Coppersville] as [right plow]. Said bridge to be built according to the plan and specifications heretofore prescribed by this Court. It is further ordered that he report his action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| Public road county line to Pilgrims Rest | Whereas application in writing having been made to the Court for an order to establish a public road as follows: said road to commence at the county line dividing Chilton and Autauga Counties at the end of a new public road opened by Autauga County to said County line, to run in a northwesterly direction to intersect the Dixie Road between the 9 & 10 mile post near Pilgrims Rest Church. And it appearing to the Court that due and legal notice has been given as required by law of the making of said application and that said proposed road lies within the limits of Chilton County. It is therefore ordered by the Court that E. J. Rollinson, Isam Abbott, James Chandler, Thomas Anderson, R. P. Kendrick, Thomas Roberts and John Pool be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said proposed road and report their action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| A portion of the Lewis Ferry Road discontinued | Whereas application in writing having been made to the Court for an order to discontinue a portion of the Lewis Ferry Road. And it being shown to the Court that a portion of the said Lewis Ferry Road is no longer of any use or public utility to the public. It is therefore ordered by the Court that that portion of the Lewis Ferry Road leading from Lewis Ferry to Coppers Station, beginning at [unclear], be and the same is hereby discontinued. |
| Auldrige Mill road | Whereas application in writing having been made to the Court for an order to open a new road as follows: leaving the Lewis Ferry Road at a point one hundred and fifty yards south of Auldrige Mill pond on the west side and again intersecting said road about seventy five yards north of said Mill ford. And it appearing to the Court that due and legal notice of the time prescribed by law had been given. And it further appearing that said proposed new road lies within the limits of Chilton County, it is therefore ordered by the Court that Isaih W. Gullahorn, Elijah Roberson, Calep Headley, James Roberson, Riley Roberson and John Robinson be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said proposed new road and report their action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| Change in the Montgomery & Tuscaloosa Road | Whereas application in writing having been made to the Court for a change in the Montgomery and Tuscaloosa Road as follows, viz: through the old field known as the Shelly Jones old field, said change to commence at north corner of M. Derbin's field on said road and intersect said road again at the South East corner of F. M. Headley's field. And it appearing to the Court that due and legal notice had been given of said intended application and that said road lies within the limits of said County, it is therefore ordered by the Court that A. C. Mims, James Broadhead, Peyton Headley, A. C. Pool, Matt Doprell, John Popwell and James Jones be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said proposed change and report therein to the next term of this Court. |
| Change in the Clanton & Providence Road | Whereas application in writing having been made to the Court for an order to change the Clanton and Providence Road so as to run through the Town of Jamison commencing near Adkinsons Lane and intersecting the old road about one quarter north west of Dr. McNeill. | Dixie & New Market Road | Whereas application in writing having been made to the Court for an order to establish a new road leading from Dixie nearest and best route to intersect the New Market Road near Chestnut Hill Church. And it appearing to the Court that due and legal notice of the making of such application has been given as required by law. It is therefore ordered by the Court that W. B. Bearden, Ian Smith, Peter Haley, Lenard Bearden, Leroy Flanagan, John Lovelady and L. E. Callier be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said proposed new Road and report their action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| New Jury of View | Whereas at the November Term of this Court, an order was made and entered in the premises appointing a Jury of View to view and mark out a new road leading from Pink Woolley's old place on the Montgomery and Tuscaloosa Road to Edward Hays on the Dixie & Clanton Road, and it appearing to the Court that said Jury has failed to act in the premises. It is therefore ordered by the Court that C. C. Deadwilder, J. C. Sewell, D. A. White, Ed Hays, J. D. McMath, J. F. Carsley, and Lee Hays be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said proposed new Road and report their action therein to the next term of this Court. |
| To establish and open a New Road called the Hill Road | Whereas at a Regular Term of this Court an order was made and entered in the premises to establish a new road leading from Clanton to Strassburg. And whereas at said Term of said Court the following named persons were appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said new road viz: W. H. Allen, E. W. Hallaway, A. J. Marler, Thomas Sammons, and R. J. Hill. And the said Jury having viewed and marked out said road and having made their report in writing to the Court as required by law setting forth the fact that in pursuance of said order met and being sworn did view the same and have laid out for public use the following road, wit: beginning at the Montevallo Road one mile north of Strassburg, thence south via of Strassburg, Richard Joseph Price & intersecting the Maplesville Road at Talladega Springs at the widow Littleton's place, thence south along said road to Salem Church, thence south through J. C. Maddox farm to Yellow Leaf Creek Bridge, thence south via of A. B. Hills, intersecting the Clanton & Yellow Leaf Creek Road near John Burgess. It is therefore ordered by the Court that said road as viewed by said Jury be and the same is hereby established as marked out by said Jury. It is further ordered that R. C. Hill be and he is hereby appointed overseer on said road to open the same and keep the same in repair until the next regular appointment of overseers of said County. |
| William Lambert $12.00 | It is ordered by the Court that William Lambert be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasurer for the sum of Twelve Dollars for the support of his insane son, first quarter 1882. |
| Margaret Murphy $6.00 | It is ordered by the Court that Margaret Murphy be and she is hereby allowed her warrant on the County Treasurer for the sum of Six Dollars for her support 1st quarter 1882. |
| J. M. Parish $7.55 | It is ordered by the Court that J. M. Parish be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasurer for the sum of Seven & 55/100 Dollars for money expended by him for the County. |
| Convicts | It is ordered by the Court that all persons now working out a sentence of hard labor are authorized terms to pay the cost of proceedings, and that all persons that may be convicted and sentenced to hard labor for the County during the year 1882 be and the same are hereby committed to the Pratt Saw Mill Company for the period of twelve months, beginning on the 1st day of February 1882 and ending on the 1st day of February 1883, at a charge of the sum of Eight Dollars a piece per month. It is further ordered by the Court that the Judge of Probate for said County be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter in a contract with the said Pratt Saw Mill in regards to the hire of said convicts. |
| H. J. Callen $4.00 | It is ordered by the Court that H. J. Callen be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasurer for the sum of Four Dollars for stamps for use of his office and for money paid in cutting wood for office. |
| W. E. Stewart $10.00 | It is ordered by the Court that Dr. W. E. Stewart be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasurer for the sum of Ten Dollars for his monthly pay for medical service rendered the County. |
| Judge of Probate Clerk | It is ordered by the Court that the Judge of Probate be and he is hereby authorized to draw a warrant on the County Treasurer in favor of Tate and Grant for the purchase of a Secretary for Clerk's office so soon as the same shall be furnished.
