| Rate of County Tax 1882 | It is ordered by the Court that there be assessed and collected for County purposes for the Tax year 1882, 4/10 of one percent - four tenths of one percent - on each one hundred Dollars worth or fractional part thereof of Real and personal property assessed for State Tax during the year 1882 in the County of Chilton and said State. It is further ordered by the Court that the Judge of Probate be and he is hereby required to collect on all license issued under the revenue laws of the State of Alabama from now until the August Term of this Court 1883 the sum of one half of one percent on all State Licenses so collected. |

| Mims & Mullins Road | Whereas application in writing has been made to the Court for an order to establish a public road in said County leading from the Columbiana & Montgomery Road at or near A. M. Mullins and intersecting the Maplesville Road at or near Elijah Mims; and it having been made known to the Court that due and legal notice has in all respects been given as required by law, it is therefore ordered by the Court that the following named persons, viz: John Vines, H. C. Young, W. H. Marcus, R. M. Aycock, J. J. Honeycutt, W. P. Roberson and Elijah Mims be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said road; that they be notified of their appointment and they be required to report their action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| Change in the Montgomery & Tuscaloosa Road | Whereas at a Regular Term of this Court held on the ___ day of ___ 1882, an order was entered in the premises to change the Montgomery and Tuscaloosa Road. And whereas at said Term of said Court the following named persons were appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said proposed change, and the said Jury of View having made their report as required by law setting forth among other things that they met on a certain day and after being sworn proceeded to view and mark out said proposed change. It is therefore ordered by the Court that said road be and the same is hereby changed and established in accordance with the route viewed and marked out by said Jury of View. It is further ordered that A. C. Pool, overseer on said road, be required to open said change, and that he have notice of said change in said road. |
| Supplemental tax report / Errors and Insolvencies, 1881 | Be it remembered that at this term of the Commissioners Court, R. M. Honeycutt, Tax Collector of said County, makes a supplemental report of Insolvencies on Poll Tax for the year 1881, and his supplemental report on Errors in personal & real property for said tax year 1881, which are as follows: Insolvencies on Poll Tax - $13.50 Errors on Real Estate: State Tax - $27.34 Co. Tax - $21.00 Total - $48.34 Insolvencies on Property: State Tax - $1.30 Co. Tax - $1.01 Total - $2.31 Total State Tax - $28.64 Total County Tax - $22.01 Total - $64.15 And the Court having inspected the same find the same correct as reported. It is further ordered by the Court that R. M. Honeycutt, Tax Collector as aforesaid, be and he is hereby allowed a credit for the amounts as stated above. |
| Voting place at Macedonia Church in Beat No. 3 | Whereas application has been made to the Court to establish a voting precinct or additional voting place in Beat No. 3 in said County. And it appearing to the Court that from the inspection of said petition that the establishment of an additional voting place will be of great benefit to the Electors of said Beat. And whereas said petition prays that the same may be established at Macedonia Meetinghouse. It is therefore ordered by the Court that there be and there is hereby established a voting place in Beat No. Three at Macedonia Meetinghouse in said Beat and County. That in future Elections shall be held in said Beat at Bensons Mills and Macedonia Meetinghouse. It is further ordered that notice be given in all respects as required by law. |
| Woolley Road | Whereas at a Regular Term of this Court held on the ___ day of ___ 1882, an order was entered in the premises [for] a new road leading from the Clanton & Dixie Road to the Pink Woolley old place [entry continues on Page 130]. |
| Woolley Road - continued | And whereas at said term of said Court the following named persons was appointed a Jury of Review to view and mark out said proposed new road, viz: J. C. Sewell, D. A. White, J. D. McMath, C. C. Deadwilder, and J. F. Connally, and the said Jury of View having made their report as required by law, setting forth among other things that they met on the 12th day of August 1882, and after being sworn proceeded to view and mark out said proposed new road. It is therefore ordered by the Court that said road be and the same is hereby established in accordance with the route viewed and marked out by said Jury of View. It is further ordered by the Court that Milford Woolley be appointed overseer on said new road; that he be required to open said new road in the manner indicated by said Jury of View, and that he keep the same in repairs until his successor is appointed; that he have notice of his appointment. |
| Marcus & Verbena Road | Whereas application in writing having been made to the Court for a Jury of View to view and mark out a public road in said County leading from the residence of S. E. Marcus to the Knights Ferry Road near the town of Verbena, and it appearing to the Court that due and legal notice has been given as required by law. It is therefore ordered by the Court that John I. Cook, B. F. Gardner, John Gardiner, Wm. Johnson, Alfonzo Cooper, S. S. Scott and Lewis Jones be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said proposed new road and report their action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| Change in the Clanton & Verbena Road | Whereas application in writing having been made to the Court for an order to change the Clanton & Verbena Road as follows: by turning off said road at or near the bridge on Yellow Leaf Creek, and to [entry continues on Page 131]. |
| Change in the Clanton & Verbena Road - continued | again intersect the Maplesville Road at Warren Maddox old place. And it appearing to the Court that due and legal notice of said proposed change has in all respects been given. It is therefore ordered by the Court that Warren Maddox, Joe Burnett, E. M. Bean, George Hill, Wash Attaway, John Rodgers and Alonzo Marler be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said proposed change and report their action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| Bridges to be built & repaired | It is ordered by the Court that K. Wells be and he is hereby authorized to let a bridge to be put at his mill; R. C. Lenoir to let a bridge to be built over Maddox Creek on Randolph Road; Buckner Harris to let or have repaired a bridge near Maplesville. |
| Change Beat line No. one (section in error) | It is ordered by the Court that the Beat line of Beat No. one be and the same is hereby changed so as to read as follows, to wit: commencing along Township line 22 & 23 to Yellow Leaf Creek, thence down said Creek to or near Littleton where said line crossed said Creek; thence down said Creek to Coosa River. |
| Change Beat lines No. 1 & No. 4 | It is ordered by the Court that the beat lines of Beat No. one and Beat No. 4 be and the same are hereby changed to read as follows: Beat line No. one: East along Township lines 22 & 23 over Yellow Leaf Creek, thence along said Township lines to Yellow Leaf Creek near Littleton, thence down said Creek to place of beginning.
