| Examining assessor books for 1883 | State of Alabama, Chilton County. Commissioners Court Regular Term July 9th 1883. Present and presiding Hon. H. J. Callen, Judge of Probate; K. Wells, R. C. Lenoir, J. J. Honeycutt and B. Harris, Commissioners. This being the day fixed by law to examine the assessor’s book of assessments for the tax year 1883, and now appearing before the Court William A. Smith, Tax Assessor of said County, and presents to the Court his books of assessments of personal and real property of said County for the tax year 1883. Said thereupon the Court proceeded to examine the same, and it appearing to the Court from the inspection of said book and from other good and sufficient proof adduced to the Court that said book of assessments is correct as the same stands stated and as reported by the assessor. It is therefore ordered by the Court that the said book of assessments be and the same is hereby received as correct as to all the assessments therein contained. Signatures: H. J.
