| County tax order reconsidered | Whereas at the August Term of this Court A.D. 1882 the following order was entered in the premises, viz: It is ordered by the Court that there be assessed and collected for County purposes for the tax year 1882 four tenths of one percent on each one hundred Dollars worth or fractional part thereof of real and personal property assessed for State tax during the year 1882 in the County of Chilton; and said order further required the Judge of Probate to collect on licenses issued under the revenue laws of the State of Alabama from now until the August Term of this Court 1883 the sum of one half of one percent on all State taxes so collected. And whereas it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the latter part of the foregoing order, to wit that portion fixing the amount to be collected on all licenses for County purposes under the revenue laws of this State, is in error as the same stands stated and recorded in the minutes and proceedings of this Court during August 1882. It is therefore ordered by the Court that said order as before set forth be altered and read as follows: It is ordered by the Court that there be assessed and collected for County purposes for the tax year 1882 four tenths of one percent on each one hundred Dollars worth or fractional part thereof of the valuation of real and personal property assessed for State tax during the year 1882 in the County of Chilton in said State. It is further ordered by the Court that the Judge of Probate be and he is hereby required to collect on all licenses issued under the revenue laws of the State of Alabama from now until the August Term of this Court 1883 the sum of fifty percent of the amount of State license [continued on Page 172]. |

| County tax order reconsidered — continued | Whereas at the August Term of this Court A.D. 1883 the following order was made and entered in the premises, viz: It is ordered by the Court that there shall be assessed and collected a tax of four tenths of one percent for County purposes on all property, real and personal, assessed for the State for the tax year 1883 and no more. It is further ordered by the Court that the Judge of Probate be and he is hereby required to collect on all licenses issued under the revenue laws of this State the sum of one half of one percent on the amount charged by the State for said license for County purposes. And whereas it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the latter part of the foregoing order, to wit that portion fixing the amount to be collected on all licenses for County purposes under the revenue laws of this State is in error as the same stands stated and recorded in the minutes and proceedings of this Court during August 1883. It is therefore ordered by the Court that said order as above set forth be and the same is hereby amended and made to read as follows: It is ordered by the Court that there be assessed and collected a tax of [3/10 or 4/10] of one percent for County purposes on all property, real and personal, assessed for the State for the tax year 1883 and no more. It is further ordered by the Court that the Judge of Probate be and he is hereby required to collect on all license issued under the revenue laws of the State of Alabama from now until the August term of this Court 1884 the sum of fifty percent of the amount of State license. |

| New Road | Whereas application in writing has been made to the Court for an order to open a new road leading from Clanton Alabama, running in a nearly easterly direction for three miles and to intersect the Smiths Ferry Road at W. A. Wells. And it appears to the Court that due and legal notice has been given as required by law of said intended application, and it appearing to the Court that said proposed new road lies within the limits of this County. It is therefore ordered by the Court that E. H. Parish, J. L. Maddox, S. A. Blasingame, Elijh Easterling, Bennett Easterling, John Baker Sr. and Henry Dupree be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view and mark out said proposed new road and that they have notice of their appointment and that they be and are hereby required to view and mark out said proposed road and report their action in the premises to the next term of this Court. |
| Jacob Lavinsky — $8.61 3/4 | It is ordered by the Court that Jacob Lavinsky be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of Eight & 61 3/4 Dollars for lumber and work done on bridge across Chesnut Creek near Cooper’s Station. |
| W. B. Strock — $32.67 | It is ordered by the Court that W. B. Strock be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of Thirty two & 67/100 Dollars for lumber and work done on bridge across Chesnut Creek near the Nelson old place. |
| To establish a change in the Calera Road | Whereas at the last term of this Court an order was made and entered in the premises appointing John Campbell, E. W. Honeycutt, Thomas Dorminy, H. Conway, Marion Glasscock and George Collum a Jury of View to view and mark out a change in the Calera Road. And whereas at the present term of this Court said Jury of View have in accordance with said order made their report in writing setting forth among other things that they have viewed and marked out said proposed change as follows: turning off between Marion Glasscock [continued on Page 174]. |

| Bridge across Little Mulberry Creek at Mills Ford | It is ordered by the Court that K. Wells be and he is hereby authorized to let a bridge to be built across Little Mulberry Creek on the Dixie & Cooper Road at what is known as the Mills Ford on said creek. |
| Alonzo Marler — $2.30 | It is ordered by the Court that Alonzo Marler be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasurer for the sum of Two 30/100 Dollars for moving pauper to Poor House. |
