Regular Term April 7th 1884	State of Alabama, Chilton County. Commissioners Court Regular Term April 7th 1884. Present and presiding H. J. Callen, Judge of Probate; Commissioners present: Kinion Wells, R. C. Lenoir, B. Harris and J. J. Honeycutt. The Court then proceeded to transact such business as was brought before it when the following orders were made and entered in the premises.
H. J. Callen — $8.50	It is ordered by the Court that H. J. Callen be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of Eight 50/100 Dollars for monies paid out by him to J. L. Gartman for work on Court House.
Montgomery Advertiser — $7.50	It is ordered by the Court that the Montgomery Advertiser be and it is hereby allowed its warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of Seven 50/100 Dollars for advertising a notice for hire of County convicts of said County.
H. J. Callen — $8.75	It is ordered by the Court that H. J. Callen be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of Eight & 75/100 Dollars for monies paid out by him for wood and for work about the Court House and monies paid out by him as cost of holding election in Beat No. 6 of said County on the question of prohibition.
W. M. Wilson — $2.75	It is ordered by the Court that W. M. Wilson be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of Two & 75/100 Dollars for registering fifty five electors at a Special election held in Beat No. 4 on Prohibition on the 2nd day of February 1884.
W. M. Pyron & Co. — $165.00	It is ordered by the Court that W. M. Pyron and Company be and they are hereby allowed their warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of One hundred and Sixty-five Dollars for lumber and work on public bridge.

I. L. Watts — $1.75	It is ordered by the Court that I. L. Watts be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of one dollar and 75 cents for making mile posts and sign boards for public roads in said county.
J. M. Corderie — $22.60	It is ordered by the Court that J. M. Corderie be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of twenty-two 60/100 dollars for support of Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Cook, and Mrs. Mills, paupers, up to April 7th 1884, under contract.
James M. Corderie and John Henley — $11.20	It is ordered by the Court that James M. Corderie, keeper of the poor, for the use of John Henley be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of eleven 20/100 dollars as support of the said John up to April 7th 1884.
James M. Corderie and Jones — $11.20	It is ordered by the Court that James M. Corderie, keeper of the poor, for the use of Jones be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of eleven 20/100 dollars as support of Jones up to April 7th 1884, said Jones being dead.
An order to establish a new road from Grindier's Church to county line	Whereas at the November term of this Court, A.D. 1883, an order was made and entered in the premises appointing a jury of view to view and mark out a new road leading from Grindier's Church in said county to the county line; and whereas at said time the following named persons were appointed as said jury of view, viz: Ely Klucus, J. N. Striny, S. H. Curry, J. W. Duke, O. C. McGraw, A. Rachels, and B. M. Gentry; and whereas at the present term of said Court said jury having made their report in writing setting forth among other things that they met and after being duly sworn according to law, they proceeded to mark out said proposed new road commencing at Grindier's Church.

William Wills Jr. — $110.00	It is ordered by the Court that William Wills Jr. be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of one hundred and ten dollars for building a bridge across Little Mulberry Creek in said county at what is known as Mills Ford on said creek.
D. H. Kemp — $1.75	It is ordered by the Court that D. H. Kemp be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of one 75/100 dollars for making three mile posts and sign boards for public roads in said county.
H. J. Callen — $78.50	It is ordered by the Court that H. J. Callen, Judge of Probate, be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of seventy-eight 50/100 dollars for ex officio road services, 2nd quarter 1884, and for presiding over Commissioners Court and keeping the minutes of Commissioners Court, April term 1884.
W. H. Foshee — $50.00	It is ordered by the Court that W. H. Foshee, Clerk of the Circuit Court, be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of fifty dollars for ex officio services, 2nd quarter 1884.
John Garner — $72.00	It is ordered by the Court that John Garner, Sheriff, be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of seventy-two 50/100 dollars for ex officio road service, 2nd quarter 1884.

K. Wells — $3.60	It is ordered by the Court that K. Wells be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of three 60/100 dollars for one day's service and mileage as member of County Commissioners, April term 1884.
J. J. Honeycutt — $3.60	It is ordered by the Court that J. J. Honeycutt be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of three 60/100 dollars for one day's service and mileage as member of County Commissioners, April term 1884.
B. Harris — $4.80	It is ordered by the Court that B. Harris be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of four 80/100 dollars for one day's service and mileage as member of County Commissioners, April term 1884.
R. C. Lenoir — $3.60	It is ordered by the Court that R. C. Lenoir be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of three 60/100 dollars for one day's service and mileage as member of County Commissioners, April term 1884.
K. Wells — $6.00	It is ordered by the Court that K. Wells be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of six dollars for services rendered in letting one bridge to be built, two days on bridge at [Mills Ford], and one day on bridge near Pyrons, at two dollars per day.
J. E. Evans — 25¢	It is ordered by the Court that J. E. Evans be and he is hereby allowed his warrant in the sum of twenty-five cents for candles furnished for use of Circuit Court.
John Garner — $8.75	It is ordered by the Court that John Garner, Sheriff, be and he is hereby allowed his warrant in the County Treasury for the sum of eight 75/100 dollars for services in habeas corpus and County Court.

Dr. W. E. Stewart — $25.00	It is ordered by the Court that Dr. W. E. Stewart be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of twenty-five dollars for medical services rendered the County of Chilton under contract.
Mary Marsh — $31.30	It is ordered by the Court that Mary Marsh be and she is hereby allowed her warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of thirty-one 30/100 dollars for feeding and lodging of a jury in the case of the State vs. Bland at the Spring Term A.D. 1884.
J. M. Parish — $3.60	It is ordered by the Court that J. M. Parish be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of three 60/100 dollars for monies paid out by him for use of the County.
W. H. Burton — $8.20	It is ordered by the Court that W. H. Burton be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of eight 20/100 dollars for washing for prisoners in jail and scouring jail from August 1883 to February 1884.
John H. Davenport — $25.00	It is ordered by the Court that John H. Davenport be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of twenty-five dollars for replacing bridge over Swift Creek.
J. M. Corderie contract	It is ordered by the Court that the contract heretofore existing between the Court of County Commissioners and James M. Corderie as keeper and overseer of the poor of said county be and the same is hereby cancelled at the request of the said James M. Corderie.
W. E. Stewart contract	It is ordered by the Court that the contract heretofore existing between the Court of County Commissioners and Dr. W. E. Stewart as physician of the poor of said county be and the same is hereby cancelled, as far as the same relates to the paupers of said county.

Account	The State of Alabama, County of Chilton. The undersigned as attorney for the following named parties who have paid license tax for the years named to the Probate Judge as collector of license tax an amount greater than that allowed by law and as shown by the records of the Honorable the Commissioners Court for the County of Chilton respectfully represents that their claim be allowed and the money collected and paid into the County Treasury in excess of that allowed by law be refunded them. H. J. Callen — $19.00	It is ordered by the Court that H. J. Callen be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of nineteen dollars for five cases in the County Court up to April 7th 1884.
John Garner — $12.00	It is ordered by the Court that John Garner, Sheriff, be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of twelve dollars for six days attendance in Circuit Court Spring Term 1884.

H. J. Callen — $5.00	It is ordered by the Court that H. J. Callen be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of five dollars for monies paid out by him for holding election in beat no. 2 on Prohibition.
R. M. Honeycutt, collector	And now comes R. M. Honeycutt, tax collector of said county, and presents to the Court his list of errors and insolvencies in names and sums prescribed by law for the tax year 1883; and it appearing from the inspection of said report that he is entitled to the following credit with account of errors and insolvencies of poll tax, revenue, property and real estate as follows, to wit: Insolvencies on property, State tax $40.78; errors on property, State tax $15.13; insolvencies on poll tax $387.00; errors on poll tax $60.00; errors on county tax on property $6.98; insolvencies on county tax on property $18.88. It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that W. H. Smith, tax assessor of said county, from proof introduced to the Court, that he has used reasonable diligence to discover and assess all the property assessed by the tax collector of said county for the tax year 1883.
H. J. Callen — $25.00	It is ordered by the Court that H. J. Callen be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of twenty-five dollars for superintending convicts to hard labor from April 1883.
W. H. Marcus — $100	It is ordered by the Court that W. H. Marcus be and he is hereby allowed his warrant on the County Treasury for the sum of one hundred dollars for [?] boards for use of public roads. Judge of Probate: H. J. Callen. Buckner Harris, R. C. Lenoir, K. Wells, J. J. Honeycutt.
