The Williams Goodgame Cemetery in Jumbo has been registered with the
Alabama Historical Commission as a historic cemetery. The first Sheriff
of Chilton County, Thomas Williams, is buried here along with his wife
and some of his children. Also buried in this cemetery are John Crocket
Goodgame, who served in the Alabama militia during late Creek battles
of 1836; and Edward Willis who served in the Confederate Army.
The cemetery was registered with the Alabama Historical Commission by Katherine Reece.

Clint Seales raised the funds for the historical marker, and provided volunteers for cleaning
the cemetery as his Eagle Scout Project.
