Goodwin Cemetery

The Goodwin Cemetery of Maplesville is the burial place for the pioneering Goodwin family who were among the first the settle in Maplesville when it was part of Bibb County. Among those buried here are; Julius Goodwin who was a representative for Bibb County, Young Goodwin was an early and highly successful planter, and Turner Myrick Goodwin donated land to the railroad that resulted in the moving of the town to its present location from three miles East of it's current location.

The cemetery was registered with the Alabama Historical Commission by Katherine Reece
